Snacking Habits Proven to change a
childs snacking behavior!

For 20 weeks children can develop new eating habits with the rewards of collecting all 20 Super Hero Snack Cards!

Each day of the week the child checks the box on the Healthy Snack Tracking Chart, indicating that they had a healthy snack at snack time. Every Friday the child receives the next Super Hero Snack Card as the reward for eating healthy snacks each day.

It’s fun to collect “Brocco the Fearless,” “Pectin Power” and more hilarious characters such as, “Greasy Avenger” and “Cupcake ‘O Doom.” The vilians in the bunch that can be used as teaching moments about the undesirable choices.

Kids love to trade their collections and even play games like “Memory” when all 20 are collected.

Over 3000 kids have had fun collecting all 20 Super Hero Snack cards with their friends.

Some Facts:
• 12,000 new foods are introduced every year. 95% are sugar beverages, sugar breakfast cereals, candy, and condiments
• 98% of the grain (flour) products we consume are stripped of critical vitamins, minerals, and fiber
• More than 25 known nutrients are lost in the refining process to make white flour and only 5 are added back, allowing these products to be labeled “enriched”

Research evidence is growing every day where it has been identified that sitting for prolonged periods of time (longer than 20 minutes, in fact), causes the brain to start to fall asleep. The answer seems obvious. Movement helps deliver oxygen to the brain, whereas sitting reduces oxygen, glucose, and other chemicals the brain needs to fuel thinking. For children, the need for physical activity is critical, even more important since their brains are still developing.
